Soon after its establishment in June 2008, the Vietnam Foundation had the honor of assisting Vietnamese delegation to prepare for the visit of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to the U.S. VNF helped the delegation of the Office of the Government and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to build a working schedule and arrange meetings for the Prime Minister from June 20 to 27, 2008 in Washington, D.C.
Additionally, VNF arranged and participated in meetings between the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the U.S. National Academies. While in the United States, VNF also worked with several universities and institutions, including Stanford University and the Hewlett Foundation, to promote its programs.
